Children and the Internet

If you have heard the horror Internet stories of what children can be exposed to on the Internet you should bookmark this page.  The Internet can give your child a great advantage in learning and development in our modern world, but there is a dark side to everything.  Here you will find many resources that will help you as a parent to make your child's Internet experience a productive and fun part of their lives.

If you have any questions, please email Mr. JImmy HIggins.   Many adults think they know what their kids are doing, but most don't have a clue.   As professional teachers of martial arts, parent bring us their children for many reasons.  We take this trust and responsibility very seriously. As responsible adults and parents we need to help shape our future world through our effort with all children to create future leaders with high moral character and self-discipline.  The American Martial Arts Academy realizes that computers and the Internet are a vital part of today's society and children will need to be trained and monitored just like learning to drive a car.  A car is very essential to our society, but it can be dangerous and deadly without proper training and monitoring. We are glad to provide this service to our students' parents and anyone else who needs to learn what they can do to help their children succeed in our complex high-tech environment.

We at The Academy are very saddened by recent events in several parts of our nation.  We hope this Parents Resource Page can help prevent more tragedies in some small way.  Our deepest condolences to those families who have experience loss of their children and friends.
