SpecialForce™ Program
SpecialForce™: This program is for adults who need to have something that works in real life combat situations and is not geared toward tournament points or scoring. The program teaches Tukong Moosul which is a style composed of modified techniques from TKD, Kung Fu, Hapkido, Aikido, Ninjitsu, Judo, Jujistsu, Suma, Capoerra, Savant, Boxing, Wrestling, Muy Thai, Tai Chi, Karate, and others. Students learn hand techniques including everything from blocks and strikes to pressure points and grappling; foot techniques including combat kicks, traps and sweeps; judo throws and break-falls; about ten traditional and modern weapons, including staff, nunchuks, knives, and throwing stars; ground fighting with chokes, locks, arm and leg bars, and submission; police techniques for controling, securing and maintaining opponents; and more.
This unique style of hand-to-hand self-defense was created by the South Korean Army Special Forces -- because classic Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do were simply not effective in combat. Tukong Moosul¢â is the most effective form of self-defense. It adapts techniques from other styles of hand-to-hand combat:
Most martial arts are sports rather than real fighting; focus on a specific distance from a single opponent; and do not consider multiple attackers. Tukong students are trained to assess the environment and opponents, quickly develop fighting strategies for multiple attackers, and apply a range of techniques that are suitable for the various distances from the opponents.
Tukong Moosul™ students have included U.S. Marines, a U.S. Navy SEAL, U.S. Army Rangers, U.S. Air Force captains, the Stafford County Police Department and a Washington DC police officer. However, you do not have to place your life on the line every day to feel the need for self-defense training. Other students have included computer programmers, airlines executives, government auditors, homeworkers, nurses, and teachers.
Tukong Moosul SpecialForce™ is a belt-based curriculum with belt promotion tests scheduled every two months. A two-week trial period costs only $35 and includes the distinctive black uniform. Beginning classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 7:10pm to 8:00pm. Cost is $160 per month, plus and belt promotion test fees of $45 each.
